ZONE 4 STOCKWATER INTERUPTION

Maintenance works are being undertaken that will effect water supply to Zone 4 starting tomorrow morning Tuesday 15^th August 2023.

We will be aiming to turn the water off during the day and back on at night-time.

All going to plan the works will be completed by Friday.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
