WATER ORDERING REMINDER DURING RESTRICTIONS

Please review your water order via the Water Metrics Water Ordering System.
If you are wanting water to irrigate, water orders need to be placed by you in the Water Ordering System by 3pm daily.

If your Zone is on irrigation restriction you still need to have an active water order in the Water Ordering System ready to go.

After 3pm daily and when ECAN have posted the next days water allocation from the Waimakariri River, the WIL operations team will either cancel or confirm your active water order and shortly after you will receive an email notification of the status of your water order.

Cancel = Restriction is placed on your Zone, no irrigation

Confirm = No Restriction for your Zone, your irrigation water is good to go.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
