Browns Rock intake was re-opened Saturday afternoon 9th November 2019.
Please allow some time for the flows to resume.
Due to ongoing river flooding Irrigators please review your orders before 3pm Tuesday in anticipation of irrigation water hopefully being delivered Wednesday 13th November. This is subject to timing when it is possible to clear the intake of gravel build-up when the river subsides.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
