RACE 11 SHUTDOWN FOR UPGRADE WORKS

We require a shut down this week to undertake upgrade works to some structures on Race 11.
It is estimated the site works should take 2-3 days.
Race 11 will be shut off today and back on Friday morning, all going to plan.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
