IRRIGATION RESTRICTIONS: Zone 3 OFF Friday 1st April 2022

Ecan have set the irrigation flow for the Waimakariri River @ 42.5 cumecs for tomorrow Friday 1^st April 2022 and reduced the water take to 7% allocation.

Zone 3 will go on restrictions starting tomorrow: All ZONE 3 irrigators please turn OFF tomorrow at your usual on/off times.

ZONE 4: OFF

Irrigators, please remember to review and manage your water orders as required, only the following day order is cancelled by WIL, your existing recurring order will remain in the system.

We will keep you up-to-date with water restrictions in the coming days.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
