IRRIGATION RESTRICTIONS: Zone 2 & 4 OFF Today Monday 9th December 2024

The Catchment has received 120mm + of rain fall in the last 24 hours and the Waimakariri River has just peaked at 340 cumec. The intake screens cannot operate with increased floodwater debris etc.
We have been forced to reduce the flow.
We will cut the flow back at the eyre river siphons at 1pm today.
Zone 2 & 4 Irrigators please turn OFF today and let Stockwater water go past.

ZONE 3: ON
ZONE 4: OFF

We will need to clean the screens out and dig shingle away from the intake when the river drops to allow us to take full flows again.
