Ecan have set the irrigation flow for the Waimakariri River @ 47.1 cumec for tomorrow and A Class water at 28% allocation.

ZONE 4 will come back on tomorrow.

Please text message your water orders to ph. 027 5231295 by 5pm today please.

ZONE 2 & 3 will go on restrictions starting tomorrow: All ZONE 2 & 3 irrigators please turn OFF tomorrow at your usual On/Off times.

Water Metrics are aiming to have the Water Ordering System operational by Friday evening, but it might take a little longer to restore all the data files.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
