Works have been completed at the intake this morning. Full flow was reinstated at 11am today at the intake.
Zone 2 & 4 Irrigators please turn ON today. Please allow for 9-10 hours delay from your normal start time that is supplied via the water metrics notifications.

Zone 2 water will start returning from 1.30pm onwards from the Warren Road Eyre Siphon, please restart as water returns.

Zone 4 water will start returning from 3.30pm onwards from the Wolffs Road Eyre Siphon, with flows gradually increasing to the bottom this evening, please restart as water returns.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
