END OF IRRIGATION SEASON

The 2021/2022 irrigation season will end this week, Friday 20th May.

For those shareholders who are needing water to wrap up irrigators or continue to fill on-farm irrigation ponds can you please continue to liaise with William Tallott or weekend on call staff on 0275231295.

We also plan to carry out other general maintenance works over the coming months and will keep you informed if this affects you.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
