The shingle from the intake has been excavated and the intake is now back up and running at full flow.

Zone 1 water is now fully restored, please check your irrigators and restart if stopped.

Zone 2 water will start returning from 7pm onwards from the Eyre Siphon, please restart as water returns.

Zone 3 water will start returning from 5pm onwards, please restart as water returns.

Zone 4 water will start returning from 4am tomorrow morning with flows gradually increasing to the bottom end early afternoon, please restart as water returns.

Weather Watch: Further rain in the catchment is forecast for Thursday night, we will be monitoring the river conditions closely.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
