BROWNS ROCK INTAKE CLOSURE OF IRRIGATION & STOCK WATER

Unfortunately, due to rising river conditions further shingle and debris has migrated into the intake blocking the screens and causing the screens to regularly pop out of the water.
We have trialed cutting flows back but still this occurs.
To protect the asset the intake will remain closed until attempts can be made to clear the shingle and debris tomorrow.
Irrigators please turn off as water subsides.
We will update you as soon as the intake is able to be re-opened.
