BROWNS ROCK INTAKE CLOSURE: 6:00am Thursday 30th May 2019
Due to heavy rainfall ECAN have flood warnings in place for the Waimakariri River.
The intake gates will remain closed until further notice, this is necessary to protect the intake infrastructure.
It is likely machinery will need to clear shingle from the intake when the river levels have subsided before re-opening.
We will update you as soon as the intake is able to be re-opened for stock water.
