BROWNS ROCK INTAKE CLOSURE:

Due to continued rainfall in the catchment ECAN have flood warnings in place for the Waimakariri River.
The intake gates were shut down this afternoon and the river is currently flowing around 910m3/sec.
The Water Scheme intake gates will remain closed until further notice. It may require river works to reopen the intake once the flood water subsides.
We will update you as soon as the intake is able to be re-opened.
