BROWNS ROCK INTAKE CLOSURE:
Due to continued rainfall in the catchment the Waimakariri River is on the rise again, this along with power outages and trees down across the district has resulted in us making the decision to close down the scheme this evening.
The water scheme intake gates will remain closed until further notice.
We also need to get our SMS text message service operating again.
We will update you as soon as the intake is able to be re-opened.
