Information Memorandum issued for Wrights Road Storage project
On Tuesday 11th May, Waimakariri Irrigation Limited (WIL) sent an Information Memorandum outlining the proposal to construct the Wrights Road Storage Ponds to all WIL shareholders.
WIL commissioned a range of in-depth specialist reports which formed the business case for the proposal and excerpts of these reports are contained in the Information Memorandum.
The Wrights Road Storage Ponds will create surety of water supply for all shareholders and provides a secure outlook for the future of the Scheme, especially in relation to ongoing environmental and legislative proposals and climate change scenarios.

WIL’s Board is recommending that Shareholders vote in favour of a motion to finalise the business case for the construction of the Wrights Road Storage Ponds at a special shareholder meeting which will be held on 14th June. The Board believes that these ponds will create a more reliable water supply for all Shareholders in the cooperative.
