PENDING STOCK WATER SHUTDOWNS FOR MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTIONS

ZONE 4 Stock Water with be shut off this Thursday and Friday during the day and back on at night so we can undertake race maintenance.

All Stock Water will be closed off commencing next Monday 28th July. The scheme shut down is required so we can undertake repairs on structures in the main race, other works around the scheme are also scheduled at this time. It is expected the water will be turned back on Wednesday night the 30th July.

We will keep you updated on progress and if anything changes.

The Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd Scheme is a shareholder-owned cooperative company with consent to take water 11.041 cumecs from the Waimakariri River. Water is drawn from the Waimakariri River at Browns Rock for distribution through 1,100 kilometres of open race channels to supply around 200 shareholders. The Scheme supplies farms covering approximately 30,000 ha within an overall area of 78,000 ha and is located between the Waimakariri and the Ashley Rivers and between Oxford and Rangiora townships.
